Get past the struggle. Start looking forward to reading and writing with your kids.

Storytime: When we took our toddler on a four hour road trip to Tahoe so he could play in the snow we didn’t realize he would scream everytime we put him in a sled.

Storytime: When you decided to help your kids with reading and writing, you didn’t realize it would lead to tantrums and tears.

Making time to read to your kids at bedtime isn’t enough. You want them to read back to you, but they don’t know how. That’s why you started looking for a reading and writing program.

Tahoe 2024

You know that your kids need to be confident readers and strong written communicators to succeed at life. You want them to love reading.

So, you researched every curriculum, bought supplies and pinned a bunch of beautiful reading and writing activities.

When you put your hair up, poured a cup of coffee and laid out the kitchen table with books, notebooks and pencils you thought you were ready to enter your teacher mom era. But, before you could open your mouth, your kids said “how long do we have to do this for?”

Spoiler alert: Your kids STILL don’t want to learn from you.

A cookie cutter program isn’t going to work for your kids. They can’t sit still! They need a teacher who understands their specific needs and abilities.

You’re thinking about throwing in the towel and outsourcing to a tutor or specialist.

Here’s the secret to bonding with your kids through reading and writing…

Most parents will buy level 1 readers for their kids. When those books start gathering dust, they’ll start looking for a tutor or a reading program.

It’s a great start, but your kids still think learning is tedious and boring. How are you going to raise a child who loves reading and never runs out of ideas to write about?

The answer is…

The Teacher Behind the Course

Hi 👋 I’m Mohini! I’m a California toddler mom and literacy specialist. I quit classroom teaching two years ago because I felt pressured to ask little kids to learn on laptops! Now, I teach kids to read and write while creating, building and exploring.

Three things you didn’t know about me:

  1. My first classroom teaching experience was in Taipei, Taiwan

  2. I wrote my Master’s thesis on nurturing a sense of belonging in multicultural classrooms.

  3. My favorite book to read to my toddler is called Besos for Bebe

What’s included?

Newsflash

If your kids cry, shut down or throw a tantrum when you’re teaching them then it is time to stop and reevaluate how you’re teaching your kids. Your child’s behavior is communicating a need.

Truth bomb: Most kids benefit from learning by engaging multiple senses. They want to learn the fundamentals of reading and writing while creating, exploring and building.

Yes, I give you the same framework that I use with my students. Yes, the weekly tutorials are filled with all of my best secrets, tips and strategies. Yes, I’ll be there to support you when there’s a roadblock, an obstacle or you just had a tough hour of teaching your kids.
